This patient had a shoulder injury requiring surgery for a labral tear. He got a preoperative regional anesthetic block. He woke up with severe unrelenting pain after the surgery and had been in pain for years. He has managed by pain management and diagnosed with fibromyalgia. He eventually saw Dr. Sharma who identified a tight pectoralis minor as one source of persistent chronic pain. He underwent treatment and eventually surgery. His pain improved and he was able to wean off longstanding oral narcotics.
