This patient worked as a roofer and unfortunately fell off a ladder and sustained a humerus fracture. The fracture was fixed, but he was plagued by severe chronic pain of the neck, upper back, shoulder, arm, and hand. He was otherwise young and healthy. He was on 40mg of oxycodone daily. He was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and in pain management. He was referred to Dr. Sharma who identified a tight pectoralis minor as a persistent source of his pain. He underwent treatment and eventually surgery. His pain significantly reduced, he was able to transition off all oxycodone, and he was able to return to work, for the first time in years.
