General Hand: Metacarpal Nonunion 6

This patient is a 44 year old farmer who sustained a devastating injury including multiple fractures. He had multiple surgeries but had a persistent nonunion of the metacarpal of his ring finger. The bone didn’t heal properly despite multiple attempts and so he couldn’t move his hand without pain. He saw Dr. Sharma and then underwent a revision surgery with bone graft. His bone went on to heal and he now has pain free motion of the hand and went back to work.
